Hornets – just a follow-up to sign up for the NC Tri Club champs for August 20. This is part of the Centennial series where Set Up Events is celebrating the 100 year anniversary of their state parks. It’s also a team event where all of us are competing against other teams in the state. You can sign up anytime before the race, but if you want the coveted t-shirt, you need to get in by this FRIDAY!!!! Hope to see a bunch of you out there. It will be a lot of fun. Thanks! Scott
New state of the art triathlon speed shop. Complete with the new GURU bike fit system, training studio and retail store. Come talk with Mike or Bob about bike maintenance or fitting. Our goal is for all of our customers to walk out of the door knowing they have the right bike for them.
Sun & Ski Sports contacted us last night about a customer giving one of their clerks a hard time about not giving them the H-CTC discount. Whoever it was, they didn’t give their name.
It’s VERY easy to pull up the H-CTC phone app to show your ID OR you can just print it out when you sign up as a member. The key is you have to be a paid club member to do that. No ID No Discount. We have some great sponsors with Sullivan Chiropractic, Podium, XTERRA, Charlotte Running Company, etc. Please do what you can to support them.
We had a great H-CTC turnout at Latta last weekend. Great job done by all.
Something new this year: North Carolina Tri Club Championships. Let’s put together a H-CTC team. We race individually but under the H-CTC name. It’s on Saturday, August 20th at Lake Norman State Park. It’s a hybrid distance: 1000 meter swim, an 18 mile bike and a 4 mile run. The bike course is on quiet roads of Iredell County at north end of Lake Norman. The run course is inside the State Park and is heavily shaded – per Set Up events.
When you register make sure you select H-CTC during the registration process – you will see a field for “Club Represented”. H-CTC should show up in the drop down box – simply click on H-CTC. To register for the race, click on the Centennial Endurance Challenge icon (light blue) at the bottom of our homepage. On the CEC page, select the Lake Norman State Park race from the drop down box in the “Select an Event” box.
Don’t forget about Hornets Social Run this Wednesday the 22nd at Pippa’s. We start at 630pm with a fun 5K run then have food/drinks at Pippa’s post run. Make sure to RSVP on racereach: http://h-ctc.com/rc/calendar/
